Welcome to Coast to Coast Beers.
This website was created because me and my friend, who lives on the other side of the U.S., like to try a lot of different beers and we had no easy way to keep track of the beers we’ve tried, whether we liked them and if we would recommend them to each other.
The obvious solution, in this day and age, was to create a website with all the beers we've tried, would like to try or have had in the past with a comment box for each. This way no matter where we are, if we have access to the internet, we can check if we’ve tried a beer, whether we liked it and/or add a new opinion or rating.
So if you’re a beer drinker, excuse me from now on we will say "beer taster", and you would like to track your preferences, leave your personal rating or recommend a beer, feel free to leave your comments. There’s also a comments box below so if you would like a line of beers added just leave a comment and if possible the beer site web address. I will add all the beers the company has available … saves you the time of listing individual beers if you like a lot of them from the same brand/company.
So far there are 33 companies/breweries loaded with over 370 individual beers between them.
All the descriptions for each beer was gathered from each company’s website.
Pictures were compiled by going to Google > Image and searching.

When labeling a line of beers under a brewer or compnay I had to decide whether to go with brewer or company. Meaning, in the past few years some big name companies and breweries have combined to become even bigger names, such as Anheuser Busch and In Bev to ABInBev, Miller and Coors became MillerCoors. Each of these companies has several recognizable brands under each of them.
Taking ABInBev for an example. When they list the products they represent, you will see Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob Lager, Becks, Murphy's, Bass, St. Pauli Girl, Stella Artois, Brahma, Labatt, Lowenbrau, plus 65 international brands. If you notice, the website only list Budweiser and Bud Light for the Budweiser line of products but there are still nine other Bud beers available. So when posting the beers I didn't necessarily label them under the top company name. I tried to post each under beer under their more recognizable name. So you will find all of the Budweiser line of beers under the Budweiser logo, all of Michelob beers are under Michelob's logo, etc.
The major exception is for the MillerCoors brands. They represent so many lines of beers that I just loaded all but two or three beer lines under the MillerCoors logo. I may go back and split them out to each company some day but they're mostly light beers and it’s from a large brewery so I’m not too worried about it at this point. I only mention the large brewery because we seem to gravitate toward the micro breweries.
Another possible use for this website would be to connect beer tasters so they could exchange beers from different parts of the country that aren't available to them.
One issue that arises with trying different beers from micro breweries is that they aren’t available in all areas. My friend in California may have a great line of beers available to him on the west coast that I would never have access to on the east coast and vice-versa. With this website, you could check out that person’s comments for different beers, see if it lines up with your tastes, then contact the person to send you some beers and do the money exchange via pay-pal or whatever.
Right now that's just an idea. Currently only 10 people know about this website and only three of them are beer tasters and if I keep it running another three years probably only two more people will know about it.
Right now it’s just a side project to keep track of my beer tasting exploits. You won’t be able to pull it up easily in a google search, if at all, as I have not added any “search” coding in the web pages. So the only way people are going to know about this site is by word of mouth.
So I encourage you to use the site to keep track of your beers tasted and tell other beer tasters about the site as well.
